Bayport Beach and Tennis Club on Longboat Key
Bayport Beach and Tennis Club is home to our two condos. It covers 27 landscaped acres in the middle of Longboat Key and runs from the Gulf of Mexico to Sarasota Bay. You can watch the sunset from the Gulf beach in the evening and fish off the bay pier the next morning without getting in the car. Renters at 618 and 737 Bayport Way have full use of the community amenities for the whole stay.
A gulf-to-bay community on Longboat Key
Bayport was designed by Tim Seibert, one of the founding architects of the Sarasota School of Architecture. The buildings sit low among palms and native trees, with walking paths winding through the grounds. It feels more like a tropical garden than a condo complex, and it stays quiet even at the height of the season.
Bayport Beach and Tennis Club amenities
A private Gulf beach
Bayport Beach and Tennis Club has about 1,200 feet of private beach on the Gulf of Mexico, with beach chairs and umbrellas set out for owners and guests. They are first come, first served, and there are normally plenty for everyone. The sand continues for miles in both directions, so a morning walk can be as long as you like.

Junior Olympic heated pool
The pool is the envy of other communities on Longboat Key. It’s a Junior Olympic size, heated pool with a large sun deck, so a swim in January is still a good idea.

Four Har-Tru tennis courts
Tennis is in the name. Bayport has four Har-Tru courts, the soft green clay that’s easier on the knees than hard courts. Bring your racquet; you’ll find regular games through the winter. Courts are reserved through BuildingLink, the community’s online system, and the office sets up your access.

Fishing pier and kayak launch on Sarasota Bay
Bring your fishing pole and head to the pier on Sarasota Bay. In season it’s also one of the best spots to see the manatees that visit the area. Or launch a kayak a few steps from your condo and see the bay from the water. If you bring your own kayak, temporary storage spaces are available.
Fitness center and clubhouse
A fitness center keeps your routine going, and the clubhouse has a kitchen and hosts social events through the season. The key in your condo opens both.
Life on Longboat Key
Longboat Key is a barrier island between Sarasota Bay and the Gulf, known for its beaches and its laid-back pace. Bayport Beach and Tennis Club sits mid-key, a short drive from shops and casual waterfront dining. The Longboat Key Public Tennis Center is a few minutes away if you want more court time, and golfers have championship courses on the island and plenty of public courses in Sarasota.

Why winter at Bayport Beach and Tennis Club
January through April is peak season on Longboat Key. Days are warm and dry, the heated pool and tennis courts are busy, and Sarasota’s arts season and Orioles spring training at Ed Smith Stadium are in full swing. It’s why so many of our guests come back year after year and book their month early.
